Burdell Sightings Happy Birthday GPB! George P. Burdell, BS 1930 is this week's featured alumnus. We are so proud of you! On Campus An early Burdell story – In 1928, after being snubbed by a fraternity he had intended to join, Burdell was irritated and ordered a truckload of furniture to be delivered “Cash On Delivery” to that fraternity. The first stunt Burdell is recorded to have pulled was subscribing twenty magazines to a mean Physics professor. Another of his earlier stunts included ordering (and billing) three rooms of furniture to be delivered to a fraternity that would not rush his friend.
